Abstract :
In this paper, the underlying principles of superconductivity for the typical microwave engineer was presented and the superconducting properties that can be exploited in microwave and millimeter-wave technologies was described to yield components into appreciable performance enhanced over conventional systems. Some of these microwave technologies in superconductor discussed were; microwave superconductivity, superconductor microwave device technology, superconducting communications filters, microwave superconductivity for high-energy physics applications, superconducting transition edge bolometers, superconducting digital microwave technology, and refrigeration.
