Abstract :
A software package for parametric analysis of personal protective grounding (PPG) has been developed. Comprehensive and detailed software models, which were developed for various transmission and distribution line configurations, permit a parametric study of all important variables in the PPG circuit. The software package was developed for the personal computer, and integrates the analytical capabilities of EMTP with a user interface constructed in a spreadsheet. Verification of the software was performed by conducting full-scale laboratory tests on a number of circuit configurations. The results of this project will permit a comprehensive evaluation of PPG practices
