Abstract :
The recently released survey on Information Security Breaches, compiled by PricewaterhouseCoopers and commissioned by the UK Department of Trade and Industry, does not make for cheerful reading. In the two years since the last report was issued, the number of threats to computer networks has increased. At the same time, IT has become the mainstay of many businesses, making any breach in security far more problematic.
