Abstract :
Organizations are engaging in joint research and development, supply chains, value networks, strategic alliances, technology licensing and marketing agreements. There is an increasing array of formal and informal mechanisms by which companies can collaborate in the development of new technology. What can be said about such new forms of networked alliances? We present a short and pointed summary of some actionable findings based on research in engineering management.
