Abstract
Electric Power Systems are larger, more interconnected and are forced to operate with lower capacity reserves than in the past. These trends place a much larger burden on the operator to insure a high degree of reliability. At present there is considerable interest and concern about the training of bulk power system dispatch operators. This paper describes a dispatch operator training program utilizing the hybrid simulator facility developed under the support of the Electric Power Research Institute
