Abstract :
The author discusses the use of the IIOC architecture for Xerox machines which solves the problems of the I/O redundancy and harness cost without sacrificing the reuse and ability to expand the I/O of the distributed architecture. The IIOC module and its attributes are described with particular reference to the MUX BUS TDM signals. The IIOC chip is also described. The benefits derived from the IIOC architecture are discussed
