Over the past five years, many published references have been made to ``Control Rooms of the future´´ for nuclear power plants. All cited the need for the application of human factors technology in the design of the ``Control Room of the future´´. This paper describes the design evolution and the methodology employed to apply human factors technology in a Control Room now installed in a nuclear power plant. That ``future´´ is now!
