Abstract :
Flux grown KTiOPO4 crystals were periodically poled by an electrical field. Homogeneous domain patterns with periods of 6.9 and 6.3 μm were induced in the entire crystal bulk and used for the second harmonic generation of blue light. The domain wall displacement during poling was investigated, and the results were used to optimise the domain structure. A high power conversion efficiency of 4.1%W-1 in a single path was obtained
