Abstract :
A novel triple band-notched antenna for UWB application is proposed. The triple band-notched characteristic is obtained by etching a complementary meander line split ring resonator inside the radiation patch and ground plane of a rectangular antenna. It is proved that the triple band-notched performance at 3.31, 5.81 and 8.53 GHz can be obtained by etching two resonator structures. The proposed antenna working from 2.4 to 12 GHz with a VSWR of less than 2 is demonstrated, except for selected notched bands.
