Abstract :
Engineers are essentially problem solvers and as such they are also creators. To some degree, especially at its greatest importance, their work consists of combining things that originally, naturally, were separate; of establishing new, functional, mechanical relationships; of making an identifiable something from what was, shortly before, a set of disparate factors-situation, idea, and raw material; of creating a physical entity which, technologically speaking, lives, works, and is fruitful.
