Abstract :
A numerical hybrid technique is presented which makes use of the finite element method (FEM) for introducing edge effects in the analysis of planar cavity-backed antenna arrays. The technique, based on an application of the equivalence principle, is first applied to a simplified configuration to demonstrate its effectiveness
