  • Abstract
    The effectiveness of distribution protection working group of the IEEE power system relaying committee analyzed the protection, control, and operating practices of 124 distribution systems through a series of three questionnaires. A data base was established which gives some indication as to how well modern distribution protection systems are performing, as well as providing a bench mark for determining future design and operational trends.
