Abstract
Reuse is a promising approach meet the constantly increasing demand for prompt solutions and high-quality implementations. Systematic reuse has to start in requirements elicitation and specification. This paper presents an approach emphasizing the direct involvement of end users and domain experts. It is based on tool support promoting requirements reuse as a way for users to easily match their needs with the specifications of existing solutions. The approach has been implemented as an extension to a Web-based requirements management tool. It received positive feedback from professional requirements engineers and users, indicating following benefits: (1) Reduced time and effort for requirements engineering, (2) improved quality of specifications, and (3) better mapping to approved solutions.
