Abstract :
A method for calculating the distributed capacitances and resonant frequencies of spiral resonators is described. First, the charge distribution on a spiral is found by a simplified model and the moment method, then the distributed capacitance is calculated. The equivalent inductance of the spiral resonator is then evaluated according to a standard formula, and the resonant frequencies are finally computed. The calculated results are compared with experimental data, and a good agreement between them is shown
