Abstract :
A polymer waveguide Y-branch thermo-optic (TO) switch was fabricated using deuterated fluoromethacrylate polymers. The influence of humidity on transmission in the switch was examined at 16.44 and 80% RH. A transmission of -1.3 dB and a crosstalk of ⩽18 dB were obtained at 1.3 μm at all these humidity levels with a switching power of 130 mW
