The first several years of work after graduation can provide valuable experience, direction, and contacts that will be used throughout your career. As such, experienced engineers advise new graduates to carefully navigate their early careers by aiming for jobs that will provide valuable experience well aligned with their long-term interests rather than simply pursuing money or prestige.
