Abstract :
Several new classes of balanced quaternary sequences of odd period have been constructed by using inverse Gray mapping and binary sequences with three autocorrelation values. The maximum nontrivial autocorrelations of the constructed sequences are shown to be √5, which reach the best known maximum nontrivial autocorrelation for quaternary sequences of odd period.
