Abstract :
High performance, reduced complexity programmable residue number system (RNS) field programmable logic (FPL) merged wavelet FIR filters are presented. The systems are based on the arithmetic benefits associated with Galois fields and support instantiating multiple wavelet filter coefficient sets. Results show the proposed filters require fewer resources than classical designs, while throughput advantage is about 65%.
