Abstract :
Soliton transmission at 20 Gbit/s, with a BER <10-9, was achieved over 5200 km of non-zero-dispersion-shifted fibre (NZ-DSF). The 106.7 km long span of NZ-DSF was partially compensated by using 2.4 km of dispersion-compensating fibre (DCF)
