Abstract :
The first reflection measurements of an AlGaAs/AlAs quantum well modulator designed to operate at the He-Ne laser wavelength of 6328 AA are reported. Photocurrent measurements indicate large absorption changes in the QWs. The measured fractional reflectivity change of 7% was used to stabilise a He-Ne laser through negative feedback.
