Abstract :
An approach to rigorously include equilibrium effects at finite temperatures in micromagnetic systems is introduced. Applications to patterned soft magnetic structures-show good agreement with experiments, qualitatively and quantitatively different from what is obtained using a standard zero-temperature micromagnetic approach. Examples of simulations of spin valve structures show large increase in magnetic noise, due to fluctuations in both reference and free layers, with reduced structure dimensions.
