Abstract :
A novel low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) dual-band bandpass filter with compact size is reported. By using three semi-lumped resonators, not only the upper passband frequency can be conveniently tuned, but also the transmission zeros generated between the two passbands can be easily controlled by the elements of each resonator. A 2.5/5.2GHz dual-band experimental filter has been designed and fabricated to verify the proposed design concept. Based on the vertically-folded structure and LTCC technology, the filter only occupies an area of 5.1 × 4.6 × mm2.
