The author describes the different types of industrial drying techniques, `mechanical´, convection, radiation and conduction. Examples are given of each type. The author discusses resistance heating, infra-red heating, heat pumps, an RF combination dryer, and a rotary induction dryer. The benefits of using electrical drying techniques are discussed
