Abstract
The magnetoresistance of a multiple micro-wire system consisting of an Fe-Ni wire and a crossing Cu wire was investigated. In this system, the magnetic field produced by the electric current flowing in the Cu wire acts locally on a part of the Fe-Ni wire. The magnetization reversal of the Fe-Ni wire can be controlled by adjusting the strength and the sense of the local field. Reversed magnetic domain nucleates at the position under the Cu wire when the local field is parallel to the external magnetic field, but the propagation of the magnetic domain wall is obstructed at this position by the application of the local field antiparallel to the external field
