Abstract :
This paper presents a novel analytical technique of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) based on the Equivalent Magnetizing Current (EMC) method. In particular, the paper focuses on the slot effect resulting in a change of the steady-state performance of the PMLSM. Computed results by the proposed technique are compared with those obtained by both the finite element method (FEM) and experiment
