  • Abstract
    We investigate a novel WDM-PON system by using self-seeded Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (RSOA) both in downstream and upstream. The transmission performance of 32 channel system with 2.5Gbit/s per channel is evaluated and reported while it meets carrier level requirements. Such WDM-PON systems are helpful for fronthaul applications in LTE deployment because of low latency, low cost and dedicated bandwidth.
