Abstract :
This paper describes nonlinear relations between magnetization time decay M(t) and log(t), observed for metal particulate (MP), Ba ferrite particulate (BF), and metal evaporated (ME) tapes plus sputter-deposited disk media. When observation time was sufficiently long (24 hours for the present study), it was found that all the media exhibited nonlinear magnetization time decay. Magnetization decay time constants for MP and BP media were estimated by applying Richter-type demagnetization
