Abstract
The following tests are described:¿ Metals.¿Tensile, compression, shearing, bending, torsion, impact, hardness, magnetic (rods and core plates), and miscellaneous. Insulating Materials. (a) Sheet and moulded insulation.¿Mechanical strength, plastic yield, electric strength, and insulation resistance. (b) Oils.¿Electric strength, insulation resistance, viscosity, flash point, chemical reaction, and sludge. (c) Varnishes.¿Electric strength, flexibility, acidity, and time of drying. The procedure on delivery of material is also set out.
