Abstract :
In this paper, an optimized contingency analysis program based on the fast decoupled load flow, is first described. Results of running this code on different computers are then presented, showing that current technology allows this computationally expensive task to be carried out on line. Finally, resorting to the client-server scheme, a distributed version is implemented and tested on several networked computers
