In the last few years, a new type of weapon has emerged from the laboratory to cast its shadow across the conference tables of the superpowers. As the USA and USSR struggle to create a new agreement to limit strategic weapons, the cruise missile has become one of the biggest stumbling blocks on the road towards a second Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty
