  • Abstract
    We report both experimental results and numerical simulations on Raman gain and crosstalk bandwidth in three backward-pumped fiber Raman amplifiers. Dependence of crosstalk on fiber length, fiber loss coefficient, and Raman gain saturation is discussed. We show an empirical formula that relates the crosstalk bandwidth to operating parameters.
