Abstract :
Recent astronomical and technical highlights, current activities, and future plans of the International LOFAR Telescope (ILT) will be summarized. During URSI GASS 2014 the ILT will be calling for Cycle 3 proposals, which will have 20% of time awarded under fully Open Skies conditions, for a broad range of available observing modes, which will be summarized. The report will cover the new GPU correlator/beamformer, and ongoing augmentation of the dynamic range for wide-field imaging and the responsiveness for transient events. The international collaboration in the ILT Board is expanding; exciting developments related to European LOFAR station construction will be mentioned.
