Abstract :
Characterization of the drift in the 18-GHz brightness temperature (TB) measured by the TOPEX microwave radiometer (TMR) is presented. The appropriate correction is not a constant drift but varies with TB. Using this correction results in a more accurate path delay retrieval that varies appropriately with cloud cover and surface wind speed
