  • Abstract
    The paper presents an experimental study on the detection of sensor faults in a large space structure. The fault detection algorithms considered are based on the design of detection filters. Specifically, two well known techniques are implemented and compared. The first one transforms the detection problem into an equivalent eigenstructure assignment one, while in the second a bank of observers is used together with a suitable decision logic. Experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the two methods
