General Secretary of the 430000 strong Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication and Plumbing Union, Frank Chapple, tells Caroline Weinstein his views on worker directors and unions for chartered engineers. The union he heads is the sole union of the electrical contracting industry, and the major union for manual workers in the electricity-supply industry.
