Abstract
Improving the industrail climate is the legend printed on the front cover ¿ is the legend meaningless? In fact, industrial productivity has a lot to do with temperature, humidity and other climatic conditions within a factory. But the climate analogy holds still further ¿ `cooling off periods¿ and `heated arguments¿ are familiar phrases used to report industry´s disputes. However, the way to a better `climate¿ in industry has more to do with better communication; managers caring for and motivating employees; incentives and profit-sharing schemes; automated machinery and better organisation of production
