Standards

A report on a proposed Tentative American Standard “Symbols for Mechanics, Structural Engineering and Testing Materials,” is now being circulated for purposes of criticism and comment. This report has been prepared by the Subcommittee on Mechanics of the Sectional Committee on Scientific and Engineering Symbols and Abbreviations of which the Institute is one of five joint sponsors.
