Abstract
An all-fibre WDM broadcast network has been demonstrated, employing two stages of Er-doped fibre power amplifiers and fused-fibre splitters, that is capable of distributing 12 wavelengths, each modulated at 2.2 Gbit/s, to 39,530,064 customers from a single head-end.
