Nuclear waste disposal

Public concern about nuclear waste is an important factor in determining how rapidly our nuclear generating capacity can be expanded. It is therefore important that those who advocate expansion of our nuclear programme should understand the real problems of nuclear waste; how it is handled now; how it will be disposed of in the future; and why it will not be the problem suggested by the antinuclear lobby.
