Abstract :
A new rate management scheme, termed rate-based grouping transmission (RGT), is proposed for an integrated voice/data DS-CDMA system. The RGT scheme schedules the transmission rate of each data user to be either the maximum rate or the minimum rate, to increase the average throughput of the data users at the cost of increases in the scheduling delay and hardware complexity
