This paper charts the course of Engineering and Sustenance practices to be put in place in line with the social ethos of the vast populace at the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP) of the villages in India to create a truly sustainable eco-system in which a Financial Inclusion (FI) System can produce Shared Value for all the stakeholders. The purpose of this paper is to underscore the role of ICT in association with sustainable engineering practices as a cornerstone in understanding what it takes to cater to the banking needs of the BOP Population and provide them with an effective solution.
