The advanced energy management system of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) is described. Emphasis is on the power application software, computer system configuration, data acquisition subsystem, data communications, man-machine interfaces, security-constrained economic dispatch, and simulators for factory acceptance testing. Its functional overview, high system performance, and actual operating experience are also described
