Abstract :
The analysis and simulation of an emitter coupled differential amplifier with an active load is presented. In most books, the two halves of the differential amplifier are assumed to be identical. This assumption made to analyze the circuit leads to erroneous results. Here, the authors compare the simulation results with hand calculations to convince the readers about this very common error in the textbooks
