Abstract :
The paper presents an analysis of different type of distribution generation (DG) unit impact on voltage profile and system losses of radial distribution network. Different types of DG have been considered viz. DG injects real power only, DG injects reactive power only, DG absorbs reactive power only, DG injects both real and reactive power and DG injects real power but absorbs reactive power. For calculation of different variable of interest, simple algebraic load flow method has been used by this paper. The analysis has been made on 12 node test system.
