  • Abstract
    I´m happy and excited to inform you that the tutorial of the next issue will be on the Physical Optics (PO) and Physical Theory of Diffraction (PTO) techniques. The tutorial will present a comprehensive analytical and numerical analysis of the diffracted field in the canonical problem of EM scattering from a non-penetrable wedge. It will show clear instructive constructions of high-frequency asymptotics, and demonstrate extensive visual pictures of the diffracted fields. Besides this, it will explain edge diffraction as a diffusion process, described by the parabolic equation.
