Abstract :
The current status of agile microwave technology is partly summarized in a book chapter and a book. The latter also gives a detailed review of applications of ferroelectrics in microwave technology and a forecast of possible future developments in the field. Several companies have started commercial development and marketing of ferroelectric varactors and devices based on them. This article highlights the advantages of ferroelectric varactors and gives a few examples of devices and system-level commercialization strategies.
