Abstract :
This text goes beyond basic detection into the ideas of sampling costs, stopping time, and quickest detection. It has extensive recent references and covers the basic ideas. It is a fascinating read and a nice summary of the state of the art in this area. It is recommended for use in either coursework or practical engineering.
