Abstract
Culture plays an important role in private enterprises development, but there are some problems in the forming of private enterprise culture in relation to adaptation and cultural-performance contingence function. With the method of theoretical research and case study, this paper conducts an exploratory study on formation mechanism of private enterprise culture. Based on the profound analysis of Schein, Allaire and Saffold´s theories of organizational culture and characteristics of private enterprise, this paper builds a formation mechanism model of private enterprise culture. A single-case study is used as the research method and a private enterprise-HDC is selected as the research object. Based on the model, the study framework is designed, and the data is collected by interviews, observations, documents. The influencing factors and formation of mechanism of private enterprise culture are analyzed using a narrative approach. The research proposes several countermeasures and suggestions for constructing private enterprise culture from the adaptability and effectiveness.
