Abstract :
A slot loop antenna (SLA) element is introduced in this letter. Disc patch and circular slot loadings are utilized to achieve the antenna impedance bandwidth up to 77%. Based on the concept, a dual-element SLA array with adjustable distance between the SLA and a back-reflector is further presented. The straightforward configuration of this design provides a cost-efficient solution for mass production. Moreover, the measured results indicate that the realized gain of the array reaches up to 10 dB, which makes this array an appropriate design for various applications in communication systems.
