Abstract :
A new method for analysing the effect of voltage flicker on bus voltages is presented in this paper. The Y-matrix and the stochastic theory are used for obtaining an equivalent 10 Hz voltage fluctuation (ΔV10) at each bus in the distribution systems. The computation of the proposed method is achieved in MATLAB using the sparse command. The simulation results show that the proposed method is able to estimate all ΔV10 quickly, but accurately, in the system. The impact of the voltage flicker sources incorporated with linear loads and compensators on the system voltages is also discussed using the simulation results
